This morning, our small team gathered near the golden shrine in our neighborhood to do something simple but meaningful — we picked up trash. The shrine itself shines brightly in gold, but the ground beneath it was covered with plastic bags, paper cups, cigarette butts, and scattered waste. Seeing that contrast hit me hard. So I put on my Binance shirt, grabbed a pair of gloves and a trash bag, and started cleaning.
Why I Want a Cleaner Environment

To be honest, I never thought much about environmental campaigns before. Whenever I saw posts about cleaning communities or protecting the environment, I would read them and move on. I believed those activities were important, but I never really felt connected to them.
That changed recently when I was walking around my neighborhood. After a few rainy days, I noticed plastic bottles, food wrappers, and plastic bags scattered along the roadside and near the drains. It wasn't a shocking sight because we see things like that all the time, but for some reason, it made me stop and think.
I asked myself a simple question: "If everyone keeps ignoring this, who will actually clean it up?"
The truth is that many of us expect someone else to solve the problem. We think the local authorities, cleaning workers, or other people will take care of it. I used to think that way too. But that day made me realize that a cleaner environment starts with individual responsibility.
I didn't organize a huge cleanup event or collect dozens of bags of trash. What I did was much smaller. I started paying more attention to my surroundings. For #CleanUpDayWithBinance, I wanted to do something simple that anyone can do. We do not always need a big event or a large team to help the environment. Sometimes, we can start with one small area around us, such as our home, garden, workplace, swimming pool area, or a nearby beach.
When I look around, I can see different types of waste. Some things can be recycled, some can be reused, and some need special handling. The important thing is not to put everything into the same bin.
So, if I had 30 minutes for a cleanup, I would start by collecting the rubbish and then separating it into different groups.
♻️ Recycle
The first group is recyclable waste. This can include plastic bottles, cola or soft-drink cans, glass bottles, clean cardboard, and paper.
For example, instead of throwing an empty cola can or plastic bottle together with general rubbish, I would put it aside for recycling. Clean paper and cardboard can also be separated from dirty waste.
Recycling is a simple habit, but it can help reduce the amount of waste that needs to be thrown away.
🔄 Reuse
The next group is things that can still be used.
Some containers can be washed and used again. Boxes can be useful for storage, and bags can sometimes be used many times instead of being thrown away after one use.
Before throwing something away, I think it is worth asking:
“Can I use this again?”
If the answer is yes, keeping it in use can be better than immediately turning it into waste.
🔌 E-Waste
Another important group is electronic waste, or e-waste.
This includes old phones, chargers, batteries, cables, and broken electronic devices.
E-waste should not simply be treated like normal rubbish. Batteries and electronic items can require special collection and disposal. When possible, I would keep these items separate and take them to an appropriate e-waste collection or recycling point.

Some rubbish cannot be reused or recycled, especially dirty or contaminated items.
These items should go into the appropriate general-waste bin instead of being mixed with recyclable materials.
🌊 Why does this matter for our oceans?
One thing I think about during a cleanup is where the rubbish could eventually end up.
Waste left on streets or in open areas can be carried by rain into drains and waterways. From there, some waste can reach rivers and eventually the ocean.
A plastic bottle thrown away carelessly may seem like only one small piece of rubbish. But when many people do the same thing every day, the amount of waste can become much bigger.
That is why I believe cleanup is not only about making a place look better. It is also about building better habits.
🌱 Start Small
We do not have to clean an entire city in one day.
We can start with one room, one garden, one workplace, one beach area, or one small place in our community. Pick up the rubbish, separate it properly, recycle what can be recycled, reuse what is still useful, and handle e-waste safely.
Even 30 minutes can be a good start.

Sometimes we think that making a cleaner environment requires a large group, a big event, or a huge amount of effort. But today, I reminded myself that change can begin with something much simpler: starting with the place where we live.
For this Clean Up Day, I decided not to wait for someone else to organize a cleanup. I took about an hour to clean around my building and the surrounding area by myself. It may not have been a huge project, but it was something I could personally do, and I believe small actions are still meaningful when we choose to take responsibility for our surroundings.
As I started collecting the waste, I noticed how much ordinary plastic and other rubbish can accumulate in places we pass every day. Plastic bottles, snack wrappers, plastic bags, and other discarded items had slowly become part of the scenery. We can become so used to seeing rubbish around us that we stop noticing it.
That is one of the reasons I wanted to participate in

I wanted to do something practical rather than simply talk about having a cleaner environment. So I picked up the waste around my building and nearby surroundings and collected it into a bag. Looking at the waste afterward made me think about how every single piece of rubbish has to go somewhere. If each person ignores just one piece of trash, those individual pieces eventually become a much bigger problem for the whole community.
🌱 A cleaner environment starts with personal responsibility.
We don’t always need to do something extraordinary. Sometimes it can be as simple as not throwing rubbish on the ground, picking up something that has been left behind, keeping the area around our homes clean, reducing unnecessary plastic use, or encouraging the people around us to take better care of shared spaces.
I also believe that community begins at home. Before expecting our city or neighborhood to become cleaner, we can start by looking at the environment immediately around us. When one person takes action, another person may notice and feel encouraged to do the same.
Today, I was that person for my own surroundings.
The photo I’m sharing shows the bag of waste I collected during the cleanup. It may look like just ordinary rubbish, but for me it represents something more important: the decision to stop walking past the problem and actually do something about it.

I believe that keeping our surroundings clean should not be something we do only on special occasions. For me, cleanliness is an important part of my everyday life. I always enjoy having a clean, fresh, and organized home because a clean environment makes me feel comfortable, peaceful, relaxed, and positive. When everything is clean and in its proper place, I feel happier and more comfortable in my own home.
Every day, I make time to clean my home. I take care of simple things such as sweeping the floors, wiping surfaces, organizing my belongings, keeping the kitchen clean, cleaning the bathroom, and making sure that unnecessary things do not pile up. I also try to put everything back in its proper place after using it. These activities may seem simple, but doing them regularly makes a big difference. I believe that cleaning a little every day is much easier than allowing dirt and clutter to build up.
In addition to my daily cleaning routine, I also do a deeper cleaning once a week. During my weekly deep cleaning, I spend more time taking care of areas that may not need attention every day. I clean corners, windows, furniture, the kitchen, bathroom, and other places where dust and dirt can easily collect. I also organize things that may have become untidy during the week. Sometimes deep cleaning takes several hours, but I enjoy the process because I love seeing the difference after everything has been cleaned and organized.

Today, I decided to take a small step toward something that matters to all of us — a cleaner and healthier environment. 🌍
We often talk about wanting a better future, a cleaner city, and a healthier world. But sometimes, we forget that meaningful change does not always begin with something huge. It can begin with something as simple as picking up one piece of trash from the ground.
For me, Clean Up Day with Binance is more than just a campaign. It is a reminder that every individual has the ability to make a difference.
When I look around my community, I can see how easily plastic bottles, food packaging, paper, and other waste can accumulate. One person might think, “It’s only one piece of trash.” But when thousands of people think the same way, those small pieces become a much bigger problem.
That is why I believe we need to change the way we think.
Instead of asking, “What difference can one person make?”, we should ask, “What could happen if everyone made one small difference?”
Today, I chose to be part of that difference. I spent time cleaning my surroundings, collecting waste, and putting it where it belongs. It may seem like a very small action, but I believe small actions become powerful when people do them together.

When we talk about protecting the environment, we often think about cleaning up what is already dirty. But I believe true change should go one step further: after we remove the waste, we should leave something meaningful behind.
That is where my idea, “A Seed for Tomorrow,” begins.
At a street corner in my neighborhood, plastic bottles, bags, food packaging, and other waste had slowly gathered. People passed by every day, but the pile remained. It was easy to think, “Someone else will clean it.” I used to think the same way.
Then I realized something simple: if everyone waits for someone else, nothing will change.
So I decided to start with one small action. I cleaned the area and collected the plastic waste that had been left behind. It was not glamorous, and it was not easy. Some plastic was stuck in the soil, while other pieces were hidden under leaves and bushes. But with every piece I removed, the space became cleaner.
After the cleanup, I wanted the place to represent more than just the absence of garbage. I wanted it to represent a new beginning. So I planted a small tree.
That tiny tree became the symbol of my message: cleaning today is important, but creating a better tomorrow is even more powerful.
A seed does not become a tree overnight. It needs water, sunlight, care, patience, and time. Positive change works the same way. One person picks up one piece of plastic. Another person chooses to use less plastic. Someone else plants a tree. Another person sees these actions and decides to join.
