I keep coming back to something that seems obvious once you say it out loud but almost nobody actually acts on: Bitcoin has been the most valuable asset in this entire industry for over a decade, and for most of that time, it has done exactly one thing. Sit there.
Not because it's incapable of more. Just because nothing trustworthy existed to let it do more without breaking the thing that made it valuable in the first place.
That's the assumption I think is worth challenging. We've treated "security" and "location" as the same thing — as if Bitcoin's trust only counts while it stays inside Bitcoin. Every other chain solves this by minting a new token and asking people to trust it from zero. Thin trust, bootstrapped fast, rarely durable.
What stands out about @BabylonLabs_io's approach is that it doesn't ask Bitcoin to leave home. No wrapping, no bridging, no custodian holding the keys on your behalf. The security stays where it's earned — it just becomes usable elsewhere too.
That's a different idea than "yield." It's closer to capital finally having a job. Dormant weight becoming active infrastructure for proof-of-stake networks that need something more credible than a fresh token to lean on.
