Starknet at the crossroads: 99.95% of votes "FOR" transition to Layer 1 🚀
The Starknet community almost unanimously supported the proposal for a large-scale transformation of the ecosystem and the transition to the first level (L1).
📊 What the numbers say right now:
More than 345 million votes were cast in support of the initiative (99.95%).
Only a modest 0.05% (about 157,700 votes) is against it.
Voting on Snapshot is still ongoing and will end on October 22.
Why is this an important precedent?
Usually, Layer 2 solutions focus exclusively on Ethereum scaling and processing transactions "on the second floor". However, a shift towards L1 architecture can radically change the sovereignty of the network, its economic model (tokenics) and consensus mechanisms.
For STRK token holders and developers, this potentially means:
1. More autonomy from the Ethereum base layer while maintaining high performance.
2. Rethinking the role of the STRK token in network security and staking.
3. Growth of ecosystem value if Starknet manages to combine L2 speed with L1 independence.
It is interesting to see how one of the largest ZK-Rollup projects is ready to take such a bold step. If the final results on October 22 record this record vote of confidence, one of the most interesting technological pivots of the year awaits us.$STRK #BinanceSquare #Write2Earn
A new level of privacy from Vitalik Buterin: Ethereum co-founder introduced an experimental "paranoid mode" for his AI agent.
The main task of the system is to reliably hide users, request sources and payment transactions.
How it's arranged under the hood:
Tor and masking traffic: A unique Tor route is generated for each dialogue.
Local reformulation: Requests are transformed directly on the user's device, reducing the risk of deanonymization.
zkAPI and payments: Payment for requests goes through zkAPI in the main Ethereum network (ETH and USDC are supported), and in the future developers promise to significantly reduce commissions.
An important nuance: the system does not give absolute anonymity. Providers still see the final reformulated requests, and the analysis of network traffic can potentially reveal the nature of the calls.
Buterin emphasizes that this is only an open prototype so far. It's too early to talk about mass introduction or immediate impact on the ETH exchange rate, but the trend of integrating AI and privacy technologies in the ecosystem is gaining serious momentum. $ETH #BinanceSquare #Write2Earn
