Following the recent drop in the crypto market, Finbold has highlighted three cryptocurrencies priced under $2. However, a low price doesn't automatically make something a good investment opportunity. Each asset's market cap, usage and risks need to be considered separately.

**XRP: cross-border payments and tokenization.** On October 16, 2026, XRP was priced at about $1.34. Over the past 12 months its price has fallen by more than 43%. Finbold's report points to the rise in real-world asset (RWA) trading activity on the XRP Ledger as a possible positive.

**SUI: a high-performance blockchain.** SUI was priced at about $1.04, which is significantly lower than 12 months earlier. The report mentions growth in Sui Network's total value locked (TVL), stablecoin market cap and transaction activity.

**GRAM: formerly known as Toncoin (TON).** The report puts GRAM's price at about $1.38. Finbold says it fell by roughly 37% over the previous 12 months. However, it's important to independently verify the token's rename and the identity of the associated project before investing.

**Decline in the altcoin market.** According to Finbold, the total market capitalization of the crypto market excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum fell by about 7% over two weeks, to $787.3 billion as of October 16.

**A low price doesn't mean low risk.** A token can have a low unit price but a high market cap. Looking only at price, without checking token supply, liquidity, adoption and the project's fundamentals, is risky.
