IMF report places the XRP Ledger at the center of bank stablecoin plans
Ripple (XRP) continues to surprise and bring good news. This is because a report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has identified the XRP Ledger as one of the public blockchain networks at the center of development plans for regulated bank stablecoins, according to Brian Njuguna at Coinpaper.
In its latest report, “The Rise of Tokenization: Deciphering New Trends in Payments and Tokenization of Assets,” the IMF examines how banks are leveraging blockchain technology to modernize payments, settlement, and asset management.
Rather than relying exclusively on private ledgers, the report notes that some institutions are choosing permissionless blockchains to issue regulated stablecoins, benefiting from greater interoperability and broader access to the market.
Among the examples cited is the euro-denominated stablecoin from Société Générale, EUR CoinVertible (EURCV), which has been implemented on the XRP Ledger alongside Ethereum, Solana, and Stellar.$XRP #Xrp🔥🔥 #USDT🔥🔥🔥
