A couple of thoughts & tips from my first trading promo campaign on $OPEN tokens

First of all — Binance promos are mathematically solid and worth grinding volume if you’re not too greedy, use stop-losses, and accept potential losses.

I started trading #OpenLedger when the event kicked off, mostly for fun. Here’s what I’ve learned:

🔹 Tip #1. Lower your fees

To maximize rewards you needed ~$3.7M personal volume (huge). Use $BNB for fees — it’s a must. Higher VIP levels also make a big difference if you can afford them.

🔹 Tip #2. Respect the main coin trend

Even with massive volume and short-term independent moves (especially on the last day), promo tokens usually follow ETH/BTC/SOL. If ETH looks overbought on 1m/5m/1h and is likely to dump — better stay out.

🔹 Tip #3. Always use a stop-loss

You’re farming volume, not gambling. Losing $10 is way better than losing $100.

🔹 Tip #4. Calculate expected rewards

I built a spreadsheet to estimate rewards based on rules + price action. Always assume the token can dump after promo hype.

$OPEN volume: $2.8B (2nd after $AVNT’s $3.4B).

Reward: only ~$0.6 per $1,000 traded.

🔹 Tip #5. Trade for profit, not just volume

Unless you’ve got 0.04% taker fees & VIP3+, promos often just cover your costs. Worst case, they don’t even do that. Use promos as cashback to reduce losses — not your primary income.

These promos look decent from a math perspective (especially for low-fee traders). The reward works out to about $0.70–$0.90 per $1,000 traded. If you’re using $BNB for fees, your cost is roughly $0.75 per $1,000.

For $AVANT, the reward was $1.35 per $1,000 traded.

For $PUMP, it was $1.66.

Older promos were far more lucrative: $10.93 for $SOMI and $14.17 for $PROVE — which was an amazing deal.

The main drawback: you never know the trading volume that will come in during the last 24h (for $AVANT it ended up being $2B+).
