In Q3 2026, about $100 billion of volume and 28.1 million signatures passed through the @WalletConnect network. Among the networks that provided the bulk of this activity, five stood out: Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum and Monad (they are listed in alphabetical order in the report).
Why exactly them:
• Ethereum is the deepest liquidity and the main settlement layer. Most of the large stablecoin transfers go through it.
• Arbitrum is a mature L2 with strong DeFi and payment activity, a lot of volume in trading and settlement.
• Base - rapid growth of users and consumer scenarios (Coinbase + agentic/x402), strong stablecoin flow.
• BNB Chain - mass retail, low commissions, high frequency of transactions, especially in Asia and emerging markets.
• Monad is a new fast EVM L1, which rose sharply in Q3 on TVL and attracted large protocols.
The main driver is stablecoins (USDC, USDT, USDG). These networks best combine liquidity, users and real application activity
WalletConnect Certified is not just a tick in the list. This is the status that wallets receive after checking according to network standards: reliability of connections, convenience, security and compatibility. When you open the application connection modal, such wallets have an icon, and they are higher than the rest in the list.
The program runs in seasons. Now the third, and the main criterion in it is the native integration of @WalletConnect Pay. Previously, payment was made via fallback (several steps: scan, connect, confirm). Now in certified wallets, scanning QR with a built-in scanner leads to confirmation in one or two steps. At the same time, the assets remain in your wallet.
Here's the Q3 WCT Ecosystem Roundup from @WalletConnect . Just saw the results of P4 - another strong statistic from the team that deserves attention and trust.
In the third quarter, about $100B of volume passed through the network. 28.1 million signatures. Top assets by activity: USDC, USDT, ETH, WETH, USDG. This is not a forecast or a promise - just what really went through the network for the quarter.
In terms of staking, the figures are also specific: 95.69 million $WCT in the stake, 72.5 thousand active stakers. This is 20.37% of circulating supply. For the quarter, almost 2.95 million WCT were distributed in awards.
And most importantly, the community accepted P4. The new APY formula and a separate RewardWeight raise the profitability for all positions. Indicative APY for 104 weeks increases from 20.31% to 24.52%, and for a short 4-week period - from 0.78% to 5%.
The team shows real volumes, openly changes the mechanics of staking through governance and continues to build an infrastructure that can be used.
P4 passed. The community itself has decided what the staking rewards will look like.
People who hold $WCT themselves voted for short curls to become normal, and long ones to become a little better. Not all projects are ready to give such solutions to the holders. Here they decided that it was right.
@pedrouid is the most competent person in this. He didn't just throw a prop on Snapshot, but really understands how the system should work, and is not afraid to put it out loud.
It's good that "YES" won. The formula has become adaptive: when there is little stake, the rewards are higher, when there is a lot, they gradually decrease.
Short positions now make sense, and 104 weeks increased from 20.31% to 24.52%. At the same time, the power of the voice remained the same. Then audit and rooting. @WalletConnect
The main problem of the crypt now is not volatility or hacks. Everyone has been living with this for a long time. The problem is that there are assets, and it is still difficult and inconvenient to use them normally in applications and services.
Wallets are scattered, networks are different, connection requires a lot of steps, confirmations and constant switching. Errors with addresses, network selection, waiting. As a result, the majority simply keeps or trades, and does not pay, does not receive and does not use in ordinary services.
This is solved by @WalletConnect This is a communication network for the economy of digital assets. Wallets and applications are connected through it, and a person can continue to use without constant switching and unnecessary movements every time. As in conventional services, where access already works in the background.
As long as this level of communication is not available everywhere, the crypt will still be a niche story for those who are ready to understand. When the friction goes away, then the real use appears. $WCT
Transfer to the wrong address in onchain is irreversible. Therefore, before sending stablecoin or crypto, they usually check the possession of the wallet manually: screenshot, signature, the person looks. It works on small volumes. There is a queue on the big ones and payments are slowed down.
@WalletConnect did otherwise. Wallet Verification: the user connects a wallet of 700+ and signs one message. This signature proves control over the address right now, without gas and without a test transaction.
The record for the audit is recorded immediately, the screening takes place in the same step. Everything works through an existing connection for deposits and payments.
Simple action. Cryptographic proof. Before the money goes away. $WCT
Stable coins in APAC are coming out of the pilot stage. Hong Kong has issued the first licenses to issuers, Singapore has published draft legislation on stable coins, Japan already has a regulated yen stablecoin, Australia includes them in the renewal of payment licensing.
For payment service providers, the question is no longer whether stable coins and crypto will appear at the cash desk, but how to maintain them without separate development, a new compliance stack and additional operational risks. Merchants in the cross-border ecommerce, travel and digital goods begin to ask about it, and the answer "not yet" means that the volume will go to those who can answer differently.
@WalletConnect Pay gives one integration in the format of the usual alternative payment method. Customers pay from 700+ wallets and accounts of major exchanges, the network covers 900+ million users. Gas is sponsored, payment is routed, the merchant receives a selected token or fiat. Sanction screening and data for Travel Rule are already built-in, so you don't need to collect it from scratch. $WCT
I like this concept. Black, white or blue to choose from, logo on the chest and back, discreet accents. Without unnecessary text, just a recognisable design that can be worn both at events and on an ordinary day.
You can take a note. I think such merch will come in $WCT
On Token2049, stablecoin was again the main theme. It's not a surprise anymore.
@WalletConnect just keeps data on how much value really moves through the wallets every week. Pulse near the conference gathered people from wallets, institutionals, RWA, trading platforms and DEX. Talk about how one layer of connection closes both payments and access to applications without separate integrations for each wallet.
The @WalletConnect team is travelling on Meridian to Lisbon.
October 28–29, Convento do Beato. Jess Houlgrave, Aaron Dodd, Felipe Obiglio and Dayana Aleksandrova will be on site. Jess will perform, and they promise an announcement for these two days, so it's better to watch the program carefully.
Stellar's Meridian is just about how the network works with payments and real money. A good place to hear WalletConnect not from the feed, but live.
Who will be in Lisbon, come and get acquainted. $WCT
