layer 1 coins these are the first coin on its blockchain before the creation of other coins on the same blockchain like we $BTC in the bitcoin blockchain as the first coin on it and BNB is the first coin on its blockchain making it a layer one coin, now for POW this simply means Proof of work, these are coins that got mainly through electricity consumption and also solving hard mathematical problems unlike POS coins, POH coins and so on.
And that's why Layer 1 POW coins like BCH still matter in 2026 — they are the only ones that can actually handle peer-to-peer cash for daily payments with $0.002 fees, because the security comes from real work, not just staking.

Look at the $ETH chart under the 1hr time frame, it took ETH almost to months to leave the consolidation zero from 5 july,26 to 19 Aug,26 to break out to $1959 and i went up to $2537 where it's now consolidated between $2357 and $2537 now we just need ETH to breakout the $2537 resist to continue up. $BTC $ZEC
