As I reflect on 2025, I can’t help but think of Naomi in the Book of Ruth.
She left Bethlehem with her husband and sons, hoping to find food and safety, but instead faced loss and emptiness.
Yet, even in her bitterness, God’s plan was not finished.
Ruth, her loyal daughter-in-law, refused to leave her, saying:
> “Where you go, I will go; where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.” (Ruth 1:16)
Naomi returned home with her heart heavy, but through Ruth’s love and loyalty, her story turned from sorrow to joy.
She found restoration, purpose, and hope — and her life became part of God’s greater plan.
2025 tested me in ways I never imagined.
Temptations came, challenges pressed, and at times I felt like giving up.
But like Naomi, I am still standing — stronger, wiser, and full of lessons that only hard seasons can teach.
To the “Ruths” in my life — thank you.
Thank you for staying, for believing, for walking with me when life got hard.
You reminded me that love and loyalty are not just words, but actions that carry us through the darkest seasons.
As I step into 2026, I carry their lessons and God’s promise in my heart:
> “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
This year may bring joy, growth, and victories… and yes, it may bring challenges too.
But I refuse to chase what only fills the stomach and leaves the heart empty.
I refuse to be “eaten” by the distractions of life or lose the people I care about.
My prayer and my wish for 2026:
