When everyone is chasing memecoins, you don’t necessarily need to buy the memes themselves.
Instead, ask a different question:
Who benefits from all this activity?
If the hype is happening on Solana, $SOL could benefit. If it’s on BNB Chain, $BNB may capture some of that demand. If Ethereum becomes the center of attention, $ETH stands to benefit too.
But you can go even deeper.
What infrastructure is powering the activity? Which launchpads are being used? Which DEXs handle the trades? Where are users storing their assets? Where does the liquidity come from?
Then comes the most important part:
Where do the fees end up?
High trading volume doesn’t automatically mean the token captures the value. You need to understand whether that revenue leads to buybacks, burns, distributions, or simply stays outside the token economy.
That’s how I approach crypto narratives.
You don’t always have to chase what everyone else is buying.
Sometimes the better question is:
“If everyone is going there, who is actually earning from that activity?”
Track the users. Track the volume. Track the fees.
