Current Narrative of Crypto Twitter: A Closer Look Towards Animal Racing Tokens & Telegram DeFi Bots
Hey everyone!
Crypto twitter has been talking a lot about telegram bots including Unibot and many others, and also some part of the CT is talking around animal racing tokens.
This may sound weird at first, but I'll explain what's going on around there. Firstly, these are not financial advice and I do not own any of these tokens, please do not ape in and understand the logic behind it.
The list of mine shows 2 popular animal racing tokens and the rest is telegram/discord defi bots. One of them differ (ticker bitcoin) is a memecoin. I'll summarize all of these under 3 headings.
my list of animal racing tokens, defi bots, and meme coins that are hyping atm
Animal and Rock Racing Tokens
HAMS and RATS are animal racing tokens. Hamster emerged first amongst this category, and the category has been created on Coingecko. What they do? They literally race hamsters or rats, play games with them without any harm. Though it may not be legal, there have been no strict regulations around cryptocurrencies and even if there were these tokens may still have emerged since anyone can write contracts.
HAMS had been up %63.000 (basicly 630x) and RATS %10.000 (basicly 100x) at their peek prices. There has been also $ROCK which is for Rock Racing and at it's peak it was up around %22.000 (basicly 220x).
Although it has a funny name and a ticker ($bitcoin), this memecoin emerged two months ago. The name comes from a backpack cover, which has been a meme around the internet and is liked & laughed by many. Including blknoiz06 on twitter, many CT participants have been buying the token. The cover image of this post is this meme coin, and it's up %4304518 if bought at launch.
Telegram and Discord DeFi Bots
These bot tokens offer various utilities to their users, the biggest bot by FDV and active users is Unibot. For example, as you may understand from their names, Bridge Bot is for Bridging easily via telegram or discord. Unibot helps you find new tokens, snipe them, have MEV coverage while doing it etc. while Loot helps you on airdrop farming.
What to be careful about?
These tokens does not have funding rounds, and the teams behind them are anons. Although it is pretty normal to be anon and have no funding in Web3, this comes with a lot of trust issues and bad actors in the space.
For example, a lot of "animal racing" tokens emerged, and a lot of them are in huge loss when compared to last week.
Keep in mind:
-DEX trading and DeFi is hard if you are new, there are a lot of topics to read before trading any coins
-Check out who is talking about the coin on twitter, if the person is a known shiller, it is likely you will end up with a loss.
-Check buy and sell taxes, and if the chain is on Ethereum keep in mind that you'll at least be paying around $10-$15 on transactions. This may get up to $20-$25 when the gas prices are high and DeFi trading may not be suitable for your budget.
(Imagine you have $50, you bought $40 of any coin and paid $10 on transaction fee, your token is up 2x, and you are thinking you have $80 of coin. You are right, but you will be paying $10-$15 of fees again and imagine there is a %10 sell tax. You'll end up with $63 overall)
-Check out the team, whether they are anons or not you are likely to understand if it is a scam or will rug.
-Always keep in mind that, according to my experiences in the DeFi and Web3, "the first project to emerge in that category" is the winner horse. You can check out telegram bots category or animal racing category, HAMS and Unibot have performed a lot better than the rest and dropped less in value compared to others.
Thanks for reading it through the end! Don't forget to give like and follow so I can keep you all updated.
