ETH is sitting around $2,250–$2,260 right now and it feels heavy.
It’s been grinding lower after failing to hold the higher levels we saw earlier, and the short-term structure still looks soft. Price is trading under the key moving averages, RSI on the daily is sitting in the low-to-mid 30s, and we’re still seeing consistent ETF outflows (another ~$140M out on the latest session). The market is treating the $2,200–$2,250 zone as the immediate battleground.
On the downside, a clean break and daily close under $2,200 opens the door toward $2,160–$2,100 and then the broader demand area around $2,050. On the upside, $2,280–$2,300 is the first real hurdle (near-term resistance + recent swing highs). A sustained push above that, and especially a reclaim of $2,350, would start to look more constructive. Until then it’s still a “sell the rips” type of tape in the short term.
Not saying we’re about to dump hard the $2,100–$2,400 zone has acted as a decent demand area before and some longer-term buyers are still active but the path of least resistance remains lower until we see a clear shift in momentum and flows.
Suggested Trade Setup (Short-term / Swing)
Bias: Bearish-to-neutral (fade strength until structure improves)
Preferred entry (short) $2,280 – $2,310 (rejection of the first resistance cluster)
Aggressive entry: Failed retest of $2,260–$2,270 on lower timeframes
Stop loss: Daily close above $2,350 (or tighter ~$2,320 if scalping)
Targets
1. $2,200 – $2,180 (partial)
2. $2,120 – $2,100
3. $2,050 area (extended)
Alternative long setup (counter-trend): Only if we get a strong bounce and hold $2,200 with clear volume, targeting a retest of $2,300. Higher risk right now.
Risk note: Keep size small. We’re in a corrective structure with ongoing ETF outflows and macro noise (elections + upcoming jobs data). Wait for confirmation rather than front-running.
