🚨 KIOXIA CRASHES 15.8% — RECORD PROFITS, BUT THE AI STORAGE TRADE JUST GOT A WARNING!

One of the biggest contradictions in the AI semiconductor market appeared in Japan today.

Kioxia delivered extraordinary quarterly profits.

But investors weren't impressed with what comes next.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2 — TOKYO MARKET CLOSE:

🔴 $285A.T — Kioxia: -15.77%
💴 Closing Price: ¥11,345
📉 Daily Loss: ¥2,125 per share

HERE'S THE EARNINGS PARADOX.

Kioxia's Q2 FY2026 results, released Friday, October 30, were exceptionally strong.

💰 Quarterly Revenue: ¥2.48 TRILLION
📈 Revenue Growth: +40.3% QoQ
💰 Operating Profit: ¥1.995 TRILLION
🚀 Operating Profit Growth: +57.1% QoQ
💵 Net Profit: ¥1.356 TRILLION

Operating profit margin reached approximately 80%.

So why did the stock collapse today?

THE NEXT-QUARTER OUTLOOK.

For October–December 2026, Kioxia forecasts:

💰 Revenue: ¥2.50 TRILLION (+0.8% QoQ)
📊 Operating Profit: Approximately ¥1.995 TRILLION (Broadly flat)
💵 Net Profit: ¥1.36 TRILLION (+0.3% QoQ)

That's a dramatic slowdown in sequential growth after an extraordinary quarter.

Management says AI data-center demand remains strong, but foreign-exchange effects are expected to weigh on results.

THE BIGGER ISSUE IS PRODUCT DEMAND.

Kioxia operates in NAND flash memory and SSD storage.

Its business is benefiting from AI servers and enterprise data-center demand.

However, the company also says smartphone and PC demand is trending downward.

In other words, the AI boom is strong, but not every part of the memory market is growing equally.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

Investors are becoming increasingly selective about AI infrastructure companies.

Record profits are no longer enough.

Markets want to see accelerating revenue, sustainable pricing power and stronger forward guidance.
