BREAKING: BINANCE RECOVERS 90% OF REPORTED $6.3 BILLION SECURITY LOSSES

Binance has reached a major recovery milestone following its reported $6.3 billion security incident. In its October 31 update, the exchange reported that approximately 90% of the affected assets have been replenished, compared with 80% in its previous update.

10 Major Tokens Now 100% Backed

Binance confirmed full backing for BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC.

The remaining 10% consists of less-liquid tokens that Binance is continuing to acquire through market purchases and OTC channels.

How Is Binance Funding the Recovery?

Binance is using more than $6.34 billion in funding from three sources:

SAFU Fund: Emergency reserves are being used, with a commitment to restore the fund to approximately $1 billion.

Futures Insurance Fund: A portion is being reallocated.

Corporate Treasury: Binance is contributing its own funds to cover the losses.

Binance says users will not bear the financial impact.

What Happens Next?

Binance is targeting November 1 for withdrawal services to resume, subject to security checks and confirmation. This remains a timeline, not confirmation that withdrawals have reopened.

My Market Analysis

Recovering 90% of the affected assets is a significant milestone for Binance and could help restore user confidence.

However, financial recovery does not automatically mean the security risks are resolved. The remaining 10%, SAFU restoration, withdrawal services, and the full technical investigation still deserve attention.

What do you think? Is Binance demonstrating strong financial resilience, or should users wait for complete recovery before fully trusting the exchange again?
