A “25% burn” sounds like supply just shrank.
My question: which 25%?
Per Lisk’s announcement, a burn of 100M $LSK has started. Per the proposal, these tokens sat in the 2027–2033 vesting wallets.
So the tokens that burned are ones that had never reached the market.
That lowers total supply. But how much it changes tradable supply, I haven’t been able to verify yet. My guess: little or nothing. That’s an assumption, not proof.
Also on the table:
Lisk Chain shuts down on Oct 31, and the token continues on Base and Ethereum LSK carries Binance’s Monitoring Tag (since Jul 24)
Everyone is watching the burn number. I’m watching whether circulating supply on CoinGecko/CMC actually changes.
If it moves, there’s a story. If it doesn’t, it’s a headline burn.
What data would you check before making up your mind?
Not financial advice. DYOR.
