The part of this SOL chart that concerns me most is the speed of the sell-off from $103.69 into $100.46. Buyers have started a small rebound, but price is still below the MA99 and MA25. I’m treating this as a recovery attempt inside a short-term bearish structure, not a confirmed reversal.
SOL is trading at $101.12 on the 15-minute chart. The breakdown accelerated below $102.43, followed by consecutive lower prices until buyers defended $100.46. The bounce has reclaimed the MA7 at $101.01, but the MA25 at $102.06 remains overhead resistance.
Volume increased during the decline, while the latest rebound has not yet established convincing follow-through. That makes chasing a long here unattractive to me.
My preferred setup is a conditional SHORT if the rebound fails:
Entry: $101.45–$101.85 after bearish rejection Stop: $102.20 TP1: $100.50 TP2: $100.00 TP3: $99.50, only if selling accelerates Invalidation: Sustained reclaim above $102.20 R:R: Approximately 1:2 to TP1 from a $101.65 entry, before fees.
If price breaks below $100.46 before a retest, I would avoid chasing and wait for a new setup. A strong reclaim of $102.06 with sustained buying volume would weaken the short thesis.
One lesson I keep coming back to is that a sharp bounce after forced selling can look stronger than it really is. I want rejection confirmation at resistance, not just another red candle. If sellers cannot regain control, no trade is better than forcing the setup.
