Picture this: Bitcoin's supply gets cut in half every four years and the last three times that happened the price went on a multi-year tear afterward.
The hard part for most traders is not missing the boat or jumping in at the wrong time. You see the halving approaching, FOMO kicks in too late, or you sell thinking the rally already played out, only to watch it keep going.
In 2012 $BTC moved from around $12 to over $1,000 after the event. The 2016 cycle took it from $650 to nearly $20,000. Then 2020 started near $8,000 and hit $69,000. Those numbers show a clear pattern of reduced supply meeting growing demand.
When you stack that against $LTC, whose halvings produced more mixed results without the same explosive follow through, or $ETH which handles supply through different mechanisms, Bitcoin's cycle stands out as more consistent. The 2028 date is still a few years out but the groundwork looks similar. Less new coins hitting the market has historically preceded the bigger runs.
Where do you think this goes from here?
