$ATOM fell 6.65% in Binance’s rolling daily snapshot. A falling market is a useful reminder that triggering a stop-limit sell does not guarantee an exit.

Once triggered, the order becomes a limit order. It can sell only at your limit price or better. If buyers move below that limit too quickly, the order may remain unfilled while the price keeps falling.

That matters because a planned exit is not the same as a completed sale. Check how your order works before relying on it.

The downside risk: you can remain exposed during a sharp decline despite having a stop in place.
