Every stop-loss you set onchain is visible before it ever fires. That's been bugging me for a while, so I spent some time on @Nillion Covenants now that DUSK is live on Ethereum mainnet.
The idea is simple: an instruction is posted onchain in encrypted form and stays unreadable until a set condition is met. Once a live data feed confirms the trigger, the nodes decrypt and execute it.
For traders this matters. Stop-losses, limit orders and auction bids are normally visible to everyone, including MEV bots. Covenants keep that intent hidden until it actually matters.
As someone building a policy layer that controls what AI agents are allowed to execute, conditional execution is something I think about a lot.
Covenants take that idea onchain and keep it private.
One catch: a Covenant can't be cancelled after posting, so the conditions need to be set carefully.
DUSK is only the first stage of a 7-era roadmap
The era I'm watching most is Nightside, where users get to define their own conditions
That's when this goes beyond price triggers. Picked up some $NIL to follow it closely.
