Crypto investors are watching two main catalysts this week: CME Group’s planned launch of Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures, and purchasing managers’ index data from the US, the euro area and other major economies.

CME Group plans to launch standard and micro futures tied to BCH and UNI on Oct. 19, subject to regulatory review, CoinDesk reported.

On Oct. 21, CoinShares’ Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds are scheduled to stop trading before the market opens as part of a liquidation process.

A string of macroeconomic releases is also due this week. US September housing starts and building permits are scheduled for Oct. 20, followed by UK September consumer price index data on Oct. 21.

On Oct. 22, investors will get US weekly initial jobless claims, the euro area’s October consumer confidence index and Japan’s September CPI. On Oct. 23, preliminary October composite PMI readings for the euro area and the US are due. The University of Michigan’s final October consumer sentiment index is also scheduled for that day.

Corporate earnings are also on the calendar. CME Group and Tesla are due to report on Oct. 21, while Nasdaq and Blackstone are scheduled to release results on Oct. 22.

Ethereum developers will hold an All Core Devs Testing call on Oct. 19 to discuss testing for the Glamsterdam and Hegotá upgrades.

Token unlocks are also ahead. LayerZero is set to release about $44 million worth of tokens on Oct. 20, equal to 3.83% of circulating supply. Humanity and Plasma are scheduled to add tokens equal to 6.84% and 5.02% of circulating supply, respectively, on Oct. 25.
