Before getting excited about Bitcoin’s next green candle, I’d check how the week ended for ETF flows.
Adding up Farside’s daily figures for October 12–16, 2026:
• US spot Bitcoin ETFs: $228.4M in net outflows
• US spot Ethereum ETFs: $320.1M in net outflows
Both had a positive session on Tuesday. Both still finished the week negative.
That tells me demand through this particular channel was uneven, with redemptions outweighing subscriptions across the week.
It doesn’t tell us what every institution is doing. ETF investors are only one part of the market, and fund flows alone cannot explain every price move.
My next checkpoint is whether fresh buying can persist across several sessions when US markets reopen.
A recovery becomes more convincing when price strength is supported by sustained demand.
What would give you more confidence here: a stronger weekly close or several consecutive days of ETF inflows?
