One bright spot this week: bond yields finally came down. Everything else? Not so much.

This is what relief looks like in 2025 — when the only good news is that the thing that was hurting you is now hurting slightly less.

Lower yields are helpful, sure. They ease pressure on mortgages, corporate debt, and valuations. But let's not pretend this fixes the underlying mess. Yields dropped because growth expectations are cooling and risk appetite is fading. That's not exactly a victory lap.

If your portfolio's only win this week was "bonds stopped bleeding," you might want to rethink your exposure. This isn't a buying signal. It's a reminder that when everything else is shaky, at least Treasuries still do their job.

Stay patient. Stay liquid. And don't mistake a pause for a pivot.
