solana has reduced its block times from 400ms to 200ms, with Alpenglow targeting transaction finality in around 150ms. finality matters because it tells exchanges, bridges and payment providers when a transaction can no longer be reversed. Alpenglow aims to cut that wait from roughly 12.8 seconds to a fraction of a second by changing how validators reach consensus. this could make trading, cross-chain transfers and onchain payments more responsive, especially for applications where every second matters. the 200ms block times are already live, while Alpenglow is scheduled for mainnet activation on october 21. faster execution is useful, but faster and reliable finality could make an even bigger difference to how applications use Solana. #BTC Price Analysis# #Altcoin Season# #Solana flip Ethereum?# $BTC $SOL
