Russia's largest bank Sberbank just got the official green light from the central bank

It landed on both the Bank of Russia crypto exchange operator register and the digital custody register

Right now it is testing BTC ETH and USDT buys sells and deposits inside the Sberbank Online app

Full client access is planned for December 1

The central bank will decide the final list of tradable coins

Crypto payments stay banned in Russia

Starting July 2027 all trades must run through registered intermediaries

Retail investors face a 300000 ruble yearly cap and must pass a knowledge test
