POLYGON BRINGS AUTOMATED STABLECOIN PAYOUTS TO OMS
On Oct. 12, Polygon announced that Open Money Stack (OMS) had launched automated stablecoin payouts. Teams can predefine recipients, payment budgets and execution windows; the system submits payment requests at the start of each cycle without requiring a new signature for every transfer.
The key detail is that automation remains bounded by on-chain rules. The wallet’s Sessions module records recipient scope, spending limits, validity periods and approved actions. The wallet verifies these conditions, while the backend cannot expand recipients, raise budgets or extend expiry. Requests outside the agreed limits are rejected, and teams can disable active rules early.
In my view, this could help teams manage recurring stablecoin payments, but safety still depends on setting permissions correctly and managing keys. Automation reduces manual steps; it does not remove every operational risk. Where do you think on-chain recurring payments will be most useful: DAOs, businesses or other applications? If this logic makes sense, drop a follow for more market breakdowns.
