Liquidations over the past 24 hours were limited to approximately $47 million, mostly involving short positions. By comparison, liquidations exceeded $1.1 billion on October 9. Nearby support levels are $79,700–$80,200 (SuperTrend and the 50-day EMA), followed by the $77,000–$79,000 region. Resistance stands at $84,000–$85,000, followed by $87,000–$88,000. The recovery cannot be considered confirmed unless buyers reclaim and hold $84,000.

🔭 OUTLOOK AND EVENTS AHEAD

Tomorrow, earnings reports from JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citi are due. The main market threshold of the week is U.S. September inflation (CPI) on October 14 at 15:30. With a Fed rate hike already being priced in, an upside surprise could put the $79,000–$80,000 support zone to the test. A reading in line with expectations, however, could open the way for another attempt at the $84,000–$85,000 resistance zone.

PPI and retail sales are due on October 15, while BTC and ETH options expire on October 16. Price movements toward certain levels ahead of expiration are common. Unless ETF flows turn positive, rallies should be viewed as short-term moves driven by liquidations.

The main risk channel is oil: Brent remaining above $106, combined with elevated yields and a strong dollar, is limiting risk appetite. The Fed meeting is scheduled for October 27–28, and the U.S. midterm elections take place on November 3. Until then, the market may remain sensitive to incoming news and trade within a narrow range.
