$566.7M in record sales. $163.1M of operating cash used.

That's Penguin Solutions $PENGU 's fiscal Q4 contradiction.

Inventory and receivables absorbed cash as sales grew. That can accompany expansion; it doesn't prove demand is broken. But growth wasn't self-funding this quarter.

For shareholders, the test is whether that working capital converts into cash rather than requiring repeated financing.

Over the next two quarters, I want positive operating cash flow, resilient sales, and inventory plus receivables growing slower than sales.

Persistent cash absorption or inventory write-downs would weaken the case.

Record sales are encouraging. Cash conversion tells us what shareholders get from them.
