JUST IN: “Big Short” investor Michael Burry is warning that the stock market may be entering the early stages of a major downturn.
“The stock market is quite obviously in its first stage of grief, denial.”
Burry says the denial phase lasted roughly 6–9 months during the 2000 and 2008 market cycles.
The warning comes as the S&P 500 hits another all-time high.
Markets are at record levels. Burry is betting the optimism may not last.
