Ethereum’s Next Upgrade Might Be Bigger Than Another Speed Boost Vitalik Buterin laid out a pretty ambitious direction for $ETH this weekend: by 2030, Ethereum is supposed to function less like a single blockchain and more like a broader stack of protocols that can support payments, identity, governance and applications without forcing everything through the same layer. One part caught my attention: the roadmap increasingly separates what Ethereum needs to do itself from what can happen around it. Instead of making the base chain responsible for every user interaction, the idea is to keep Ethereum focused on security and settlement while other layers handle more of the actual activity. That sounds architectural, but it changes how I'd look at $ETH as an asset too. If Ethereum succeeds, a growing share of its ecosystem could become almost invisible to the average user. People might interact with wallets, apps and payment systems without thinking much about which chain is settling underneath. Crypto spent years competing over which blockchain users would notice most. Ethereum seems increasingly interested in becoming the one users don't need to notice at all. #ETHBlockchain #ETHFoundation
