🔥 Bitget Reports $351.6M Security Breach; Circle and Tether Freeze Linked Assets as Binance Offers Support

Crypto exchange Bitget has reportedly suffered a $351.6 million security breach. Early reports suggest the attack may be linked to North Korean hacking groups, though investigations are still ongoing.

In response, Circle and Tether have frozen stablecoin assets associated with the stolen funds. Binance CEO Richard Teng also said Binance’s security team is working with Bitget to support recovery efforts and help trace the affected assets.

The incident is another reminder of the importance of exchange security, wallet controls, and rapid coordination across the crypto industry.
