$BTC Golden Cross Forms Post-Fed Hike
The 50 EMA ($73,843) crossed above the 200 EMA ($73,198) on the daily chart, coinciding with BTC reclaiming $77.2K following the Fed's 25bps hike, its first since 2023.
what this means, and what it doesn't:
A golden cross confirms a shift in medium-term trend structure. It does not predict the next move. Historically, these crosses have preceded both continuation and fakeouts depending on the macro backdrop feeding into them.
the reclaim of $77.2K needs a retest to mean anything structurally. One green close above a level is not the same as that level flipping to support.
Watch: RSI at 55, still below its signal line near 60.7. Momentum hasn't confirmed the price action yet, which is the gap between "the trend turned" and "the trend is safe to lean on."
scenario framing over prediction: if $77.2K holds through the next pullback, the cross gains weight. If it fails, the cross becomes a textbook trap that traps late longs.
verify first. risk later. scale slowly...
