CIRCLE’S ARC OPENS WITH 82% OF VOLUME COMING FROM MEMECOIN LAUNCHPADS
Arc, Circle’s open Layer 1 network, recorded 410.8 million USD in DEX volume on its first day of public mainnet. About 82%, or 336.26 million USD, came from launchpad tokens.
Dune data shows Arguspad led with 202.35 million USD, followed by Minara.fun at 36.41 million USD and Tollylabs at 19.65 million USD. Arguspad alone minted 83,751 tokens in 24 hours, accounting for more than 86% of all tokens created on Arc.
On Sept. 16, launchpads generated 97,025 tokens and drove 7.76 million transactions. Circle built Arc for finance, payments and agentic activity, yet memecoins produced most of the initial volume.
BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC and ICE are among its founding validators, with more than 100 institutional and ecosystem builders testing or deploying before public launch.
Bitwise, BlackRock and Janus Henderson are bringing tokenized funds on-chain, while Visa and MoneyGram plan stablecoin payments. Uniswap, Robinhood and Pump.fun are also expanding spot, perpetual and cross-chain markets.
Yet launchpads clearly led initial volume. Arc processed 410.8 million USD, while Robinhood Chain recorded 14.74 million USD on its July 1 launch day, making Arc nearly 28 times larger.
Robinhood Chain slowed during August before reaching a record 3.7 billion USD in daily volume this month. Arc will need more time to show whether launchpad activity can persist or quickly cool after launch.
Will Arc sustain its volume after the launchpad effect cools, or was 410.8 million USD mainly a first-day acceleration?
