I almost took a small BTC long today.
Then I paused.
After checking the Fed expectations, I realized I was getting ready to trade the move instead of waiting for BTC to confirm it. That hesitation probably saved me from forcing a bad entry.
BTC is still around $76K, and I’m watching one level closely: $83K.
The CLARITY Act narrative is interesting, but a headline alone doesn’t make me bullish. What matters is how BTC behaves when it reaches the sellers around $83K.
A breakout with strong volume and a successful retest would get my attention. But if BTC spikes above $83K and quickly falls back below, I’d treat that as a possible liquidity grab rather than confirmation.
I’m keeping only a small test position for now.
My plan: wait for BTC to prove the breakout, then act.
Would you buy the breakout or wait for the retest?
