Al slowdown is pushing tech stocks down everywhere, but not in India
Indian IT stocks found a surprising lifeline in calls to slow Al development. The Nifty IT Index jumped as much as 5.2%-its biggest intraday gain since February-as investors bet tighter Al rules could delay disruption to outsourcing. Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra and HCL Tech each gained over 5%. Although the sector is still 35% below its record high, it is primed to react sharply to any shift in Al market sentiment.
