World Brings Prediction Markets to 1M Users, Expanding Solana’s Betting Economy

Expanded access: World has formally launched its standalone platform to over 1 million users from its waitlist.
Active catalog: The protocol records more than 150,000 markets created across sports, politics, crypto, economy, and culture.
Technical infrastructure: Automated contract resolution and settlement operate via Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment.
The rollout extends the operations the protocol had run preliminarily within the Phantom wallet since July 2026. With this step, the catalog exceeds 150,000 available markets, covering NFL regular-season games, seven professional soccer leagues, Formula 1, and the US midterm elections scheduled for 2026.

Each contract trades under a binary scheme of closed “yes” and “no” options with values ranging between $0 and $1. According to market reports, prices reflect the probability estimated by participants, settling at $1 for the winning outcome and $0 for the discarded option.

World operates under a non-custodial technical architecture, meaning it does not hold operator-deposited funds. The system requires no brokerage account registration or centralized exchange verification. Users pay standard Solana network fees when opening or closing positions.

The platform routes orders directly to decentralized liquidity providers within the ecosystem.
Automated Settlement and On-Chain Liquidity
Contract resolution is powered by Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE). This integration enables automated processing of final outcomes upon reaching the deadline or concluding an event. Technical documentation from the firm indicates that this mechanism eliminates the need for human panels or token-holder voting committees.

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, noted that the demand seen on the waitlist reflects strong interest in fast, transparent on-chain settlements. #sol #Write2Earn $SOL
