US Inflation Week Incoming (Sept 8-11)
The numbers:
🔸 PPI (MoM) Aug: forecast 0.4% (prev 0.0%)
🔸 CPI (MoM) Aug: forecast 0.4% (prev 0.1%)
🔸 CPI (YoY) Aug: forecast 3.4% (flat)
🔸 Core CPI (YoY) Aug: forecast 2.4% (prev 2.5%) 📉
⚡ Why it matters:
Headline inflation looks hotter month over month, but core inflation on a yearly basis is still cooling. Two different stories in the same release.
