A Token Unlock Doesn't Automatically Mean “Dump”

I see this sentence all the time:

“Big unlock coming. Token will dump.”

Maybe.

But that's not enough research for me.

First question:

Who is receiving the tokens?

Team?

Investors?

Community?

Treasury?

Ecosystem incentives?

Then:

What are they likely to do with them?

And finally:

Is demand growing fast enough to absorb the new supply?

That's the important part.

Think about it like this:

New supply + selling behavior + market liquidity + demand

Those four things matter much more than the unlock number by itself.

A $50M unlock in a highly liquid market with strong demand isn't necessarily the same situation as a $10M unlock in a thin market with weak demand.

So when I see an unlock coming, I don't immediately panic.

I ask:

Who gets it, when do they get it, and who is going to buy it?

That's the research.
