$BTC just took back the level it lost in May. Worth breaking down what actually happened here, and what it doesn't mean yet.

May: price topped near 82.5k, then rolled over hard. By July, it had round-tripped into the high 50s, a drawdown north of 25% from the top. That's the kind of move that shakes out leveraged longs and rewrites sentiment fast.

Now, months later, price is back testing that same zone from below. On a chart, that's called a reclaim, resistance being tested as potential support. It's a meaningful development. It is not, by itself, proof the low is in.

What separates a real reclaim from a fakeout is the retest. If price pulls back into the high 70s and buyers step in there, that's structural confirmation. If it just gets rejected and slides back into the range, this was a liquidity grab, not a trend shift.

This is exactly why we build backtesting tools instead of just calling levels.

A reclaim looks the same in the moment whether it holds or fails. The only way to know which one you're looking at is to wait for the market to show you, or to stress test how similar setups have historically resolved.

Trade the structure, not the headline...
