Everyone thinks a strong august on $BTC means you can chase every green candle, but actually that’s how a lot of traders get baited into bad entries.

The pain is simple: you see price ripping, you fomo in late, and then the move cools off while you’re left holding the top. Same story every cycle, ser.

Here’s the case study. Since 2013, 9 of the previous 13 augusts closed red, and the historical median return for the month is about -7%. This year $BTC is already up around 25.4% with almost a week left, which makes it the 3rd-best august since 2013, behind only 2017 at +63.8% and 2013 at +30.4%.

That’s exactly why this matters. A rare strong august does not erase the bigger pattern, it just makes the market feel safer right before people start overexposing. If $BTC keeps grinding, $ETH and $SOL usually drag attention too, and that’s when the crowd starts confusing momentum with inevitability.

What’s your take on this august setup from here?
