I used to judge a blockchain ecosystem by how many apps were built on it.
Then I started looking deeper into @Dusk_Foundation and realized I might have been looking at the wrong thing.
The interesting part isn’t just the number of projects. It’s how the pieces fit around the lifecycle of a regulated asset.
Dusk Trade is being built around investor onboarding, wallet connection, trading, payment coordination, and settlement. DuskEVM gives developers an EVM-compatible environment, while DuskVM provides native Rust/WASM execution.
Then there’s Citadel, focused on identity and selective disclosure, and Hedger, designed to bring confidential transaction flows into the EVM environment.
That changes how I see the ecosystem.
It isn’t simply trying to put financial assets on-chain.
It’s trying to build the infrastructure around who can access them, how they move, how privacy works, and how they settle.
Still early. Still watching. 👀
