@Dusk Dusk Network is one of those projects that makes me stop and ask a basic question:
Can financial markets actually move on public blockchains without exposing everything?
Dusk is building a privacy-focused Layer-1 for financial applications, with confidential smart contracts at the center of the design.
What stands out to me is the focus on regulated finance.
Traditional financial systems need transparency for rules and verification, but they also can’t realistically publish every sensitive detail about a transaction, position, or participant.
That’s where Dusk’s approach gets interesting.
Its Confidential Security Contract (XSC) standard is designed to let applications operate with privacy built into the blockchain itself, instead of treating confidentiality as an afterthought.
And honestly, I think this is one of the more important areas for blockchain adoption.
A lot of crypto infrastructure was designed around maximum visibility.
That works great for many use cases, but probably not for everything financial institutions need to do.
The real test for Dusk, though, isn’t whether privacy sounds good.
It’s whether developers, institutions, and users actually choose to build on it at scale.
Privacy + compliance + onchain settlement is a difficult combination.
