One development I’m watching closely is the expansion of DuskEVM.
Dusk is bringing an EVM-compatible path to its infrastructure, allowing developers to work with familiar Solidity tooling while connecting applications to Dusk’s settlement layer.
For me, this is important because adoption isn't only about what a blockchain can do—it’s also about how easy it is for developers to actually build on it.
Dusk is taking a two-sided approach:
🔹 Familiar EVM development for builders who already work with Ethereum tooling
🔹 Native Dusk infrastructure for applications that need privacy, ZK capabilities and stronger control over regulated financial workflows
The interesting part is that these paths aren't isolated. DuskEVM is designed to settle back to DuskDS, connecting developer flexibility with Dusk’s underlying settlement infrastructure.
That could make the ecosystem more accessible without losing sight of Dusk’s core focus: regulated on-chain finance.
Still early, so I'm more interested in seeing what developers actually build with it than making predictions.
💬 If you were a developer, would EVM compatibility make you more likely to build on Dusk?
