Pump.fun Rallies +88% in a Month: What's Going On?

@Pumpfun has been one of our "Top Charts" since our July 16 report, and with the token rallying +88% over the past month, many are asking what's driving it.

As we wrote in our July 16 report:

"[@Pumpfun is] easing 82.5 billion PUMP tokens (about 29% of circulating supply) into a broader three-year vesting cycle. The team wallet then began actively distributing tokens, moving over $19M across wallets, with the actual transfer of 57.279 billion PUMP coming in below the roughly $130M worst-case forecast the market had priced in, causing some pre-positioned selling pressure to unwind. This lack of active selling pressure caught short-sellers off guard and triggered a rapid short-squeeze. High operational revenue and aggressive monthly token buybacks absorbed the remaining unlocked supply."

In short: the market had priced in heavy selling pressure, but the actual unlock was well managed and came in lighter than expected, triggering the rebound.

In our July 23 report, we noted that Pump.fun:

"deployed its new default BOOST launch mechanism, automatically allocating pooled liquidity to execute continuous buybacks and burns for migrating tokens."

And in our latest report:

"@Pumpfun flipped Hyperliquid in 30-day protocol revenue, generating $35 million vs. Hyperliquid's $33 million. Pump.fun also offered rival FOMO's users a $20,000 sign-on bonus and $30,000 in monthly payments to switch platforms."
