Dusk Network: A Different Layer 1 Story
Dusk Network caught my attention because it isn’t trying to scream that it will replace every other blockchain. Its focus is more specific: privacy for financial applications, using confidential smart contracts and the XSC standard.
After watching countless Layer 1 narratives come and go, I’m more interested in what a network solves than what it promises. Dusk is addressing a real tension: finance needs transparency, but it also needs controlled privacy.
Still, good technology doesn’t guarantee adoption. Developers already have established ecosystems, liquidity is difficult to move, and users rarely switch networks without a strong reason.
That’s the real test for Dusk. Can its privacy-focused infrastructure attract developers, applications, liquidity and actual financial activity?
I like the idea, but I’m not convinced yet.
It might work. Or nobody shows up.
