📉💰 Before I blew $5,400, I never knew my exact dollar risk. You don't have to make my mistake. Always calculate your exact potential loss *before* opening any futures trade. Here's how:

Your potential risk in dollars is simply: (Entry Price - Stop Loss Price) * Position Size (in actual crypto units).

Let's say you have a $1000 account, want to go long BTC at $60,000 with 10x leverage. You decide your stop loss will be $59,700. Your maximum notional position size with your leverage is $1000 * 10 = $10,000. To convert this to BTC units: $10,000 / $60,000 = 0.1666 BTC.

So, your risk is ($60,000 - $59,700) * 0.1666 BTC = $300 * 0.1666 = $49.98.

You risk approximately $50. Now you know! Decide if that risk is worth it for you before you ever click "buy."
