SK Hynix Is Spending Big on the Next Chip Cycle 💾
SK Hynix is putting 54.3 trillion won into new semiconductor facilities in South Korea, with the investment split between a new fab in Yongin and another facility in Cheongju. The projects are aimed at expanding production of next-generation memory, including $DRAM and #NAND
The timing says plenty. AI demand has pushed memory into the center of the semiconductor supply chain, and $SKHYNIX is committing billions to expand capacity rather than sit on the sidelines.
Construction is expected to extend into the latter part of the decade. 🏭
