"60 Seconds, 4 Numbers: How I Read a Trading Partner's Profile Before Placing a P2P Order"

I used to think seeing a partner with "many orders" was enough to feel safe choosing them on Binance P2P that number is the biggest one on the profile, so it's always the first thing I looked at.

But after reading through merchant profiles and Binance P2P's verification process more carefully, I realized four indicators need to be read together, not separately:

1. Merchant Badge: not decoration it's a sign the partner has passed a verification tier and stayed active long enough on the platform.

2. Completion rate a high order count with a low completion rate means many trades were cancelled midway.

3. Order count only meaningful next to the completion rate; a newer account with 100% completion isn't necessarily riskier than an older one with a low rate.

4. Average response time the slower it is, the longer your funds sit waiting in escrow while you wait for payment confirmation.

At first I only looked at order count because it's the easiest to spot. Looking closer, I realized: a profile with a badge but an unusually low completion rate relative to its order count is exactly the kind of thing worth pausing on having a badge doesn't mean you can skip the other three numbers.

These 60 seconds aren't a wasted step they're how you protect yourself before your funds sit in escrow while both sides complete the trade. If a profile still leaves you uneasy, choose another partner or reach out to Binance Support.
