#baby $BABY Have you ever noticed that the strongest teams don't expect everyone to do everything?
I realized that while watching a local cricket match.
The captain wasn't the fastest bowler. The wicketkeeper wasn't opening the batting. Everyone had a different role, and somehow that made the team stronger.
That thought came back when I was reading about Babylon.
One thing I found interesting is that Bitcoin holders don't have to do all the technical work themselves. Babylon introduces Finality Providers, whose job is to help finalize blocks and secure the network, while BTC holders can contribute security through staking.
At first, I wondered why Babylon didn't just make every staker handle everything.
Then it made sense. Most Bitcoin holders simply want to support the network without running complex infrastructure. By separating those responsibilities, Babylon makes participation more practical while keeping critical tasks in the hands of dedicated operators.
Of course, there's a trade-off. Those operators carry more responsibility, which is why the protocol needs strong incentives and accountability to keep the system secure.
The more I think about it, the more I appreciate designs that don't expect everyone to do the same job. Sometimes a stronger network comes from giving each participant a role they can actually do well.
