Cryptocurrency exchange Binance will remove RUB pairs for XRP, ETH, ADA, MATIC, SOL and 9 other tokens.

Crypto exchange Binance will remove and halt trading of many cryptocurrencies in Russian Ruble (RUB) pairs on November 20, according to an official announcement made on November 17. The move is part of Binance's plans to exit Russia completely and stop deposits in Russian Rubles. The exchange recently signed an agreement to sell its entire business in Russia to CommEX. According to the announcement made today, the exchange will delist the following trading pairs on November 20:

“ADA/RUB, BNB/RUB, BUSD/RUB, DOT/RUB, ETH/RUB, LTC/RUB, MATIC/RUB, SOL/RUB, XRP/RUB, ALGO/RUB, ARB/RUB, ARKM/RUB, ARPA /RUB, NEAR/RUB and WLD/RUB”

Users will not be able to make spot trades for the above-mentioned cryptocurrency as of 06:00 on November 20. However, spot trading is still available for these cryptocurrencies in other pairs. Binance continues to remove crypto pairs due to increased scrutiny and regulatory challenges. The exchange is also gradually delisting BUSD pairs with the aim of ending support for the BUSD stablecoin by February 2024.

“To protect users and maintain a high-quality trading market, Binance periodically reviews all listed spot trading pairs. “It may delist selected spot trading pairs due to many factors such as poor liquidity and trading volume.”
