#EthereumPause Ethereum developers just postponed the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet after security researchers flagged risks in proposed gas accounting changes.

ChainSecurity identified potential issues that could permanently lock failed operations in existing smart contracts. The October 26 activation and planned gas limit increase have both been pulled with no new date set.

This careful delay prioritizes network safety over speed and keeps the mainnet timeline uncertain for now.
